I am hiring a Farm Operations Manager

$30k - $50k/yr ($25/hr – 25 to 40 hours a week, 8-12 months a year) to manage a 10 acre farm with a growing farmers market business.

The right person will: keep garden plots weed-free, keep small engines and implements in good working order, aid in planting and harvesting, preserving and packaging produce, and take point in selling our products at farmers markets and at our own roadside stand.

More duties: assisting with making maple syrup, beer brewing, wine making, and livestock upkeep (primarily chickens). Also: maintaining the attractiveness of the site, interacting with customers, processing transactions, making deliveries, and so on.
Must have good ‘handyman’ skills and an eye for detail. Good organization skills a big plus. Ability to keep good records a must. Managing other workers is part of this job description.

‘Season’ begins no later than April 1st and ends approximately November 1st, with work likely available both before and after, depending on the weather.

The right person will be able to work independently, identifying work that needs to be done without prompting and seeing that it is done.

Operation to be managed is located in Greenwood, WI.
