Unrestricted free speech is important to both 'private' and 'public' life. It is through such speech that one discovers if one is wrong. The more serious the issues, the more serious the consequences of error, and the more crucial is free speech. It is precisely for this reason that the left abhors genuine free speech. On abortion, it would mean that they are involved in the murder of millions of people. This is a truth they cannot bear. On the handling of the pandemic, it would mean that they are complicit in totalitarian actions which wrecked the livelihood of millions, and likely also cost millions their lives--more to come, me thinks. On the trans issue, it would mean that they were wrong about gay 'marriage,' and if they were wrong about gay 'marriage,' then they had their hand accelerating the dysfunction of millions of young people, forced to grow up under a perverse paradigm with consequences to unfold over the coming decades. Pick your topic, and we see that the left is pushing hard to abolish any speech against it. Hear no evil, see no evil.
