What happened on the 6th was totally predictable, and I don't mean the part about people rallying. I'm talking about the agitation by leftists and the magnification of the event in proportion and importance by the MSM and Democrats and panzy-assed Republicans. We can't allow ourselves to get played like that. This is who the Left is. I'm sorry, but it is. They declared w%r many years ago, and sticking your head in the sand is as effective as mitigating their tactics as pretending that Al Qaeda's declaration of w#r was just rhetoric. So, what does this mean? What do I propose?
We've got to play by the rules even as they use them against us but we've got to start using those rules more aggressively. (Eg, if they are engaging us using 'lawfare' we have to retaliate in kind.) But even more importantly, and most critically, our representatives who normally would not come into play on these topics must do so now.
For example, while there is little precedent for something like a state legislature going toe to toe with Big Tech, that's exactly what they're going to have to do. A county generally limits their attention to managing the county. It must now be more. The county government must assume the important role of protecting the liberties of the people within the county, and the county Sheriff had better be ready to put his body on the line for us, or else he's useless and should be voted out.
We need a national movement of LOCAL hard ball.
No more Mr. Nice Guy.
I will be contacting my reps and I will be running for office at the next opportune time. Its all warm and fuzzy to think that the most our local reps have to do is think about how to fund the roads and deal with sewage, but today the purpose of the Constitution (eg, the 10th amendment) is more clear than ever. Its time for people to STEP UP or get out of the way.
