If you don't see something of interest, create a page and group and use the "Fields of Dream" principle, build it, and it'll give people something to come back.

Invite your friends, family, co-worker, build a church page here and invite your congregation.

Invite your classmates, maybe not your boss unless you are the boss. Ask your favorite author, band, and more to expand here as well.

Just like with FB, when you first sign up, you're not going to see much content. Why? Cuz you got no 'friends'! This is a platform. It is a place for you to build your network. With FB, it is now easy to plug right into a network because others have spent years building them already. There is no magic substitute for YOU inviting your friends, families, and contacts to join you here. We may be small, but at least we're free!

TIP: As this platform only has 3 visibility settings
(Everyone, Friends, Only Me)
if you want to interact with people without laying bare your whole life,
try creating a page, group, or topic in the forum.
GROUPS can be set to private/invite only.
Don't forget to change the privacy settings on your posts
if you don't want everyone to see them!

Further tips about this platform: eventually, people will arrive that we don't particularly care for, but in the spirit of freedom we will allow space for. I recommend first of all not to use your personal timeline for your deeper conversations, but rather groups/pages/forums. Second of all, set the privacy of your own posts to 'friends.' That will prevent people from seeing your posts in the public news feed. Third of all, you do have the ability to block and unblock people. To block them, you browse to their profile page and search for the 'block' option. To unblock them, go to your own profile page's settings and look for the 'blocked users' option.

If you find the public news feed to cluttered, you can always choose from the drop down menu to show only that which you are following.

Welcome to new folks. We are like FB, but there ARE differences. The biggest is that with only 3 privacy settings on your posts, (everyone, friends, only you), you will want to use groups and pages for any heavy conversation and keep your friend list personal. ALSO, and this is important... you will enjoy this platform if you enjoy it with people you know. If your friends and fam are not here, neither will you. INVITE THEM.

Friends with @icloud and @gmail.com seem to have the most troubles.

We are going to start preventing people from signing up with emails at certain domain names, as these are consistently getting blocked. As I have said elsewhere, there is no rhyme or reason why some activation emails go through and others don't. That said, there are some domain names which seem to have more problems than others. Hopefully, they will simply be prompted on sign up to choose a different email address for activation... we will begin testing this with all emails @me.com effective immediately and will add more in response to this post.
