I still think the SCOTUS leaker was Roberts himself.

Hard to say for certain. While we know Roberts leans with the social-political winds, which the liberals and media control, he’s also concerned with the Court’s “image” which was hurt by the leak, and it’s also well established liberals don’t give a flip about any form of standard or norm in the face of getting their way, especially as Roe is practically holy writ for them. So the likelihood of it coming from an aide to one of the liberal justices, if not one of the liberal justices themselves, is a very strong possibility.

All we know for sure is that there won’t be a serious effort to investigate by the Justice Dept.

Definitely hard to say, especially since, as you say, the Justice Dept's efforts will be tepid at best.

I don't think an aide has the clout to do such a thing. The promises of protection would have to be immense, and could that protection be assured? Only the justice itself could emerge unscathed. But you and I agree that liberals are a slash and burn crew. It is possible it was an aide.

But I think it was Roberts specifically because of his 'concern' about the Court's 'image.' And there is no one else with more clout.

It’s rather debatable how much being “unscathed” would matter to a liberal’s mind when they’re mired in the heart of the DC Swamp, and the issue of abortion is again, practically a religious tenet for them.

It creates a contrast of those who are willing to “martyr” themselves, while simultaneously we all know is that the worst that would happen is that they’d be fired from their job in the courts, and immediately lauded as a hero by the liberal media to be offered book deals, and commentator positions on a network. We’ve seen numerous times the Swamp protects their own.

So perhaps if anything it’s the fact no one has stepped up to take credit, may be a strong indicator that the leaker has a position in the Supreme Court that’s more valuable than liberal praise, and media gigs.
