Here's another blog post in support of the petition circulating calling for racial justice in the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. While I don't deny that some bad practices occurred in the past, and maybe some still continue (not just targeting Blacks, though that's a topic for another day), I think this blog has a few logic failures.

A Lutheran for Racial Justice – an occasional theologian

Yesterday, on Facebook and Twitter, I shared that I signed this petition connected with Lutherans for Racial Justice. Today I want to tell you why. I'm a son of The Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod. I was baptized into Christ on account of an LCM

In today's installment of "Words Mean Things", consider the current politically correct terminology for a person of minority descent: "Person of Color".

Even though this term is the current "non-offensive" vernacular, it is not far removed from the now highly offensive "colored person" or its shorted form "colored". I know of some Black Americans who hear these offensive terms in their mind whenever they are referred to as a "person of color". In fact, that's what I hear now when someone uses the phrase "person of color".

It makes one wonder just how much certain things have really changed, doesn't it?

At some point, we should probably have a discussion about the "spectrum" (Black -> Colored -> White).

And this.
Bible reading and journaling. Ah, my fav combination.
“My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart, for they will prolong your life many years and bring you peace and prosperity. Let love and faithfulness never leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. Then you will win favor and a good name in the sight of God and man. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:1-6‬ ‭
-Proverbs is def one of my fav books to read in the Bible. As I was reading a few chapters, I noticed how It really gives you the instructions on how to live a life pleasing to God. Lot of stuff struck out at me.

On a side note, I’ve been wanting to find those bibles with the mini side note section on the side of each page. So I could write down notes, reminders, etc. Sooo if anyone knows where I could find them, let me know please

Playing with the different options, under "Family" everything, but husband or wife is listed, or am I missing it?
