I led several FPU classes as a Coordinator. Some folks get it and some don't. The commitment part of attendance is the hardest for some, so sticking to a "budget" doesn't bode well with some also. But the few that stuck with it have come back later and given thanks for the teaching. DR is a start to get your financial stewardship in order, as with anything in life, times and circumstances change. God has plans that he prepares us for, Luke 16:10 "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.
We are a "now" society, "me first", not wanting to earn our way as our ancestors did. So many people do not agree with biblical principals anymore, including many Christians. Thankfully, we woke up and are completely debt free, enabling us to do as God directs, knowing He will provide the way.
