The use of the philosophical belief of pre-existence was interesting yet also troubling.

One side I get the, "It's a kids movie", but for the sharp eye viewer, it presents a distorted view of souls and the afterlife.
The conflict begins of "Well it's a movie" and I have always loved the Robin Williams movie "What Dreams May Come" due to it's artistic beauty.

For when the kids get older, it does lay a great foundation of how there are different philosophical thoughts such as the ancient Greeks and Islam regarding a pre-existent life and how Christianity differs.
