Well, I thought I would have money for doing some necessary coding. But ANOTHER $1,000 auto repair bill, and there goes my discretionary funds for Feb.

I've spent more on vehicle repairs in the last year than I have ever done before. It is at least 15k at this point.

Getting to the point where paying for a new vehicle would be better than trying to keep old one’s going. Unless you have something no longer on the market like an FJ Cruiser. In which, yeah you need to hold onto as long as possible.
