Most of reformed Christianity is sadly deterministic; they helped revive Augustinian thinking about this matter.
There is no so-called ‘humility of accepting hard to accept things about God’ in this, just error.
Giving one’s life for a cause doesn’t necessarily make a cause true e.g the 9/11 suicide bombers
