The tragedy that happened in Texas, has caused high emotions on all sides. Every time a bad person uses a gun to kill multiple people (except Chicago), the far left, and now the President make pleas to people about more gun laws. They say republicans have stopped them from preventing these kinds of tragedies. They even assign unwarranted blame to those who disagree or oppose them. I am not sure if they actually believe this or not, but they act like more gun laws would stop the next one. However, these people don't want to talk about some of the simple things that really led to this tragedy and others. First let me say, let's live in reality... people can get guns if they want to, no matter what restrictive laws are passed. What irks me, is that they talk about the problem of "guns" like nothing else in the tragic set of circumstances mattered. Often there were warning signs in the mental health of the gunman, that were ignored. (i would say the spiritual health is the more important factor that led to what they did, but anyway...) Do you know what the main thing is that we should be talking about, but i don't hear much about except from the right side of the isle? How did the mass shooters get into the schools where the shootings happened? Unlocked doors. No armed guards or teachers. This is huge! To act like making guns hard to buy or to take them away from people saves the next school when the next maniac gets a gun and shows up with the intent to kill is absurd. I am ok with people hating the 2nd amendment and wanting to make new laws, since they are entitled to their personal and political opinions. However, how can any sane person ignore the main reasons these tragedies happen? So when you hear conservative people say to stop politicizing this, they are right! Unless politicians and news media talk about the real issues and not just guns, they have done just that...
