From what i see, it seems like we can prove that media organizations were trying to smear and defeat President Trump, but is there any recourse against places like cnn, who ditched real journalism to lie and abused their power and position?

in answer to your question, not really. but the real tragedy is that no matter how obvious and apparent it is, an extremely large portion of the population remains unaware. You can tell them, but they don't hear.
