Watched a few clips of Trump speaking at CPAC today. He'd lie and the crowd would roar with approval.

I suppose that explains why I left the GOP years ago. If I was in a hall and the person on stage was spewing lies, I'd walk out because I have no use for lies or liars.

This sums up Sasse well. He is rather critical of both sides, and he is rather respected by both sides. He stands in the face of stiff opposition without flinching, and yet he keeps working. He was a major reason ACB was selected for SCOTUS, and he understands conservatism and civics.
