I have been thinking a lot about GK Chesterton's fences this summer. It has so many applications. I think of it every time I see proponents of gay marriage like @jk_rowling
now wringing their hands about #trans issues. They behave as though there is no connection between the two things, even though the rationale for both was precisely the same.

"But that's not the definition of marriage!"
"But definitions can change!"

"But that's not the definition of a woman!"
"But definitions can change!"

And so on and so forth.

The best way to fix the spammers is for custom coding and I'm not in a position to do that yet. But I found an option which might help at least a little, and that is making groups and pages available only to verified users. I went through and manually verified people I knew. Go into your profile and request verification if I missed you. I will only be verifying real people who are not spammers. More tweaks to come. I am still trying to develop this platform and thank those who continue to return for doing so.
