1666472985The Latin Vulgate was the official Bible, translated from Greek by a papal commission to Jerome in 382 AD. By that time there were many unscriptural practices in the Church (like TULIP among other things) so accommodations were made to tweak the translation to accommodate for all that. This remained the go-to Bible for more than a 1000 years until finally amidst fierce resistance it finally got translated; but the Latin Vulgate’s influence with all it’s Calvinistic twisted commentary side notes remains to this day.
Not sure I have heard someone be this honest and to the point, I wish I could see their faces... (but they probably have masks on)
