BROTZMAN AND TULLY

"The current, prevailing view among scholars is that the alphabet was invented in the first half of the second millennium by Canaanites living in Egypt." - Ellis R. Brotzman; Eric J. Tully. Old Testament Textual Criticism: A Practical Introduction (p. 12). Baker Publishing Group.

SOME THOUGHTS ON PREFLOOD WRITING AND IMMEDIATE POSTFLOOD WRITING

It should be noted that the building of cities, the development of musical instruments, and the forging of iron and copper tools had their start long before the Flood. (Gen 4:17, 21-22) Then, I would add that the people prior to the flood were closer to perfection and lived close to a thousand years. The accumulative knowledge of a person close to human perfection over a thousand-year period has to be tremendous. Imagine BROTZMAN's life, how much he knows now, now add another 920 years onto your life. Reasonably, therefore, men would have had little difficulty in also developing a method of writing. Since there was only one language originally. I think that it is also reasonable that Shem did not sin with the others at Babel, so why would he be punished with a language change?

Secular historians are not able to disclose the origin of the Hebrew language. In fact, for that matter, the same is true for any of the most ancient languages known, such as Sumerian, Akkadian (Assyro-Babylonian), Aramaean, and Egyptian. The reason for this is because the earliest tongues appeared already fully developed in the earliest written records that have been discovered.

I find it that the Bible is hardly ever used as evidence by a number of scholars who work in a highly technical field. On Sunday, they supposedly believe the Bible is the absolute inerrant Word of God but in their publications and journals, they do not incorporate the words of God itself into the discussion.
