Have you checked your reading speed recently?
The speed at which you can read with comprehension is one marker of your knowledge of a language.

Apparently reading slowly actually reduces comprehension because the brain needs to process the whole sentence in one go.

I reader (and he is reading slowly anyway).

That's something to work towards for me.
