There are christians who spend their lives working to understand the Bible completely. And then, there are those others, who do not care to have this level of cognizant perfection. They strive to obey what is in the Bible.
Because of the philosophical leanings of western culture, and its forms of education, most of us lean toward the former.
But there is a danger in making the faith to be mainly a cerebral enterprise.
I believe Christ and His apostles made it very clear, that His gospel of the Kingdom is primarily concerned with our heart. That is what He is primarily out to change. It becomes then, will my heart love Him above all other loves?
And if that is the case, I will follow and obey Him above all other voices that attempt to make their claim over my life, alliance, behavior, activities.
If anyone does not love the Lord [does not obey and respect and believe in Jesus Christ and His message], he is to be accursed. Maranatha (O our Lord, come)! ~ I Corinthians 16:22, Amplified Bible
