website statistics

I just discovered that the recent update over-wrote my terms and conditions page and some other items I'll need to restore. When I update the terms for the site, it will include an anti-spamming measure. People who belong and participate in the community will not be considered as spamming, provided they are not copying and pasting similar information repeatedly. But people who are here only to paste information repeatedly--and show no attempt to be part of the community--will have their user status set to 'restricted.' If a user is restricted, NO ONE except for friends or content submitted in groups/pages will be viewable by the rest of the community; hence, at that point, one is spamming into the ether, and thus, there is no point in engaging in the behavior.

This is not censorship. It just means that your content will only be viewable to friends. If you are here and have not made any friends, that's on you. If even your friends find your behavior unwelcome, they will unfriend you, kick you out of their groups/pages, etc.

People can always ban people on their own by clicking on a user's name and viewing the settings for that person.

Note, there will be no warning given for spammers. You know who you are.

TIP: As this platform only has 3 visibility settings
(Everyone, Friends, Only Me)
if you want to interact with people without laying bare your whole life,
try creating a page, group, or topic in the forum.
GROUPS can be set to private/invite only.
Don't forget to change the privacy settings on your posts
if you don't want everyone to see them!
