I've heard him mocking conservatives pretty viciously, even recently. I'm glad to see he's seen the light on this issue. Hopefully it is a wedge that creates a complete 180.

well, sometimes all it takes is a wedge. I know I was already leaning conservative by 9-11, but 9-11 was the death knell of anything remotely 'progressive' for me. It still took ten years after that to get properly shaken out. The older we are, the longer it takes us to change. And I was 25 at the time.

I’d say be cautious about outspoken liberals speaking against Leftist/Socialist policies/practices. While ideological transformations have to start somewhere, individual liberals having personal issues with something that’s currently in fashion with the Leftist mob right now is far from being a Road to Damascus moment either. It’s why I’m not very sympathetic to Feminists speaking out against Transgender intrusion. More than 70 years of tearing down Biblical understanding of gender roles to replace them with societal whim, and they’re simply upset that societal whim isn’t aligned with their personal feelings, instead of realizing they were fundamentally wrong to tear down Biblical understanding begin with.

I agree. Rowling is a case in point. All her "Dumbledore is gay" innuendo after making loads of money from a book series that was, on the face of it, wholesome, is a case in point. The trans movement was derived from the gay marriage movement, and NOW she thinks its gone too far.
